Justine's 2nd Birthday Party

It was my daughter's 2nd Birthday and this time I've decided to be an "extra" hands on mom. Since we were not allowed to bring our own food at the party except for the cake and party favors, I just settled for making her Birthday Cake, Marshmallow Pops (I guess this counted as part of the party favors) and Birthday Outfit.  We gave away gold fish as party favors so there was really no decorating needed except for the labels.  Here are some of the pictures from the party

I used her old long sleeved shirt and added ruffles around the neckline.  (instruction here)

Marshmallow Pops

These are the marshmallow pops I made for my daughter's 2nd Birthday Party.

Ingredients:

Large Marshmallow
Chocolate Wafer (you could buy this from AC Moore or Michaels)
Lollipop Sticks
Sprinkles

Directions:

1.  Insert stick into marshmallow atleast half way through.

2. Melt chocolate wafer in the microwave in 30 seconds interval, stirring after each time until the chocolate is fully melted. (chocolates burn easily that's why you need to check and stir every 30 seconds.)

3.  Dip marshmallow into the chocolate until half is covered

4.  Sprinkle each marshmallow with sprinkles (you could also use chopped almonds, sugar sprinkles, etc)

5.  Let the chocolate dry by sticking upward into a foam ( I bought a round styro foam in the flower section at AC Moore)

This is sooo easy to make and the kids all loved it!
